Hi Jarlen, the problem is not reproducible. I tried to find a solution during these weeks, but now i'm using windows because i have to work with my pc, and i can't risk to lose data when i'm workin. I can reinstall ubuntu in a partition to make some tests to help comunity to solve this bug. I experienced this bug also in 8.04 LTS. At first, I thought it was a hardware issue, but workin with windows 7 i have no system freeze. The only thing i've seen in the kernel log, which maybe could help to find a solution is:
faye pulseaudio[4021]: alsa-util.c: Device hw:1 doesn't support 44100 Hz, changed to 16000 Hz. faye pulseaudio[4021]: alsa-util.c: Device hw:1 doesn't support 2 channels, changed to 1. faye pulseaudio[4021]: module-alsa-source.c: Your kernel driver is broken: it reports a volume range from 23,00 dB to 23,00 dB which makes no sense. I tried to compile and install the last version of alsa and the last row log disappear, so I obtain faye pulseaudio[4021]: alsa-util.c: Device hw:1 doesn't support 44100 Hz, changed to 16000 Hz. faye pulseaudio[4021]: alsa-util.c: Device hw:1 doesn't support 2 channels, changed to 1. (Excuse me for the bad english, it's not my mothertongue, i hope the whole text would be understandable) P.S.: I've found this link, maybe it deals with this bug http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1280101&highlight=random -- Random system freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/433416 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
