*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 436748 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/436748
I did the updates manually, but I still get "You do not have the necessary privileges to perform this action" when KDE attempts automatic recommended updates. There is no crash or error report. 1. Click icon in lower right corner that suggests packages to install to make KDE "better for multimedia" 2. Tell it to install packages. This part works. 3. Next, it says dependencies have been generated by the previous installation, and offers to install them. 4. Clicking "Select All Packages" followed by "Apply" generates the "You do not have the necessary privileges to perform this action" message and the updates do not install. Apologies if this is still a duplicate, but I read over Bug # 436748 and did not see anything about this. -- system updates cannot be done https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/447801 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kpackagekit in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
