Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

A user can in Ubuntu delete files in different ways:

1) Press „Del“: Delete file to trash (restoration possible)
2) Press „Del“ + „Shift“: Delete file, don't store in trash (with tools
restoration possible)

I am missing really secure file deletion. I suggest to implement file
deletion with the Gutmann method (method described in Wikipedia on
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gutmann_method&oldid=318344070).

This would enhance Ubuntu's data privacy.
