Thank you for your bug report. gnome-settings-daemon doesn't have anything to do with brightness keys though, so I'm reassigning to gnome- power-manager.
Please kill the currently running instance of gnome-power-manager, run the following, press your brightness keys a few times and then attach the resulting log: gnome-power-manager --debug 2>&1 | tee gpm.log Thanks ** Package changed: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) => gnome-power- manager (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) -- [Karmic] Brightness Buttson OSD Test Acer Aspire 5810-4657 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432835 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
