The partial stacktrace in Xorg log shows 3: /usr/lib/dri/i965_dri.so(intelDestroyContext+0x10a) A crash in intelDestroyContext on GM965 was recently fixed in mesa (7.6.0~git20090817.7c422387-0ubuntu7) and now in mesa 7.6.0 Jeremy, could you please test if you still have this problem?
