@Munzir I have pulled the git tree for ubuntu-jaunty and sound-2.6 but I am unable to apply commit 6e34c033210bb86b3f5f45fd6497f74150bdf620 which seems to be the one that contains the fix for dv6

I checked the links you provided but did not find instructions/guide to create a package to test that this is fixed. If you can please explain how you were able to get this patched and compiled/packaged.
