I agree. I remember there had to be a 3rd party repo set up for edgy
that had mtp support compiled in, which causes all sorts of problems.
Best if it's just done right the first time in main. And since libmtp
is in main, there's no problem there.
Hopefully this can be handled in the next Kubuntu packaging of Amarok
