I see that Ubuntu does not feel like returning icons. Let it be. But people (as I see) don't like that change. So please highlight in visible places (Release notes on Ubuntu webpage, etc.) that it can be changed in System->Preferences->Appearance->Interface. I had spent really much time on finding this (yeah, maybe I'm dumb).
