Unfortunately I am not sure that these 2 bug reports are identifying the same issue, after my review. I have since upgraded to synaptic version 0.57.11.1ubuntu7, and can confirm that the issue has been resolved through this update. 1.) Settings -> Repositories: loads and enables repository management 2.) Help -> About : reflects current installed version I was unaware that bugreports were not version specific (Edgy vs Feisty) when compatibility issues are identified and reported. As my initial report was a Edgy:Kubuntu concern. I would think a report concerning Edgy wouldn't necessarily be viewed a duplicate as compared to a developing version i.eFeisty. (?) Does there exist a guideline on proper bugreport submission, outside the routine of reviewing those already filed? If it is thought this is not the case, then when researching existing bugs across versions of Ubuntu, in this case synaptic, one would expect to find all bug reports regardless of package version and distribution release. I am just trying to ensure that reports are not adding to your workload erroneously.
