I can also confirm this issue. It started for me when I closed the software centre while it was installing some packages. I reopened it and while the software was still queued it seemed not to be doing anything. At that point I restarted (how very windows of me!) and upon restart became aware of the issue. As I was just messing around with the beta I didn't think about grabbing any logs (and frankly I'm not sure where I should look for useful data on this issue) Any hints on where to look to provide something more concrete would be appreciated.
