The contents of these files come from the kernel, reassigning to the correct package.
However, it seems likely that this is a sign of a broken battery or a broken ACPI implementation rather than a kernel bug; all the kernel needs to do here is read the value from the hardware, so there's not much room for the kernel to be getting it wrong. AKSiS, I have no idea why you've followed up to this bug. Your lshal info does *not* show a present voltage exceeding the design voltage. (BTW, it's not an error /generally/ for the present voltage to exceed the design voltage - but 45V is a bit extreme... :) ** Package changed: acpi-support (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) -- acpi reports incorrect design and/or present voltage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157243 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
