Thank you for reporting this bug. I am unsure, though, if this is a 'ls' issue, or rather a terminal colouring issue.
>From your image, we can see that space was reserved for the characters (visible on the reversed field). I would like you to open a terminal with standard colouring and try another 'ls -a' there. Also, please go to one of the TTYs (Ctrl/Alt/F[1-6] should put you there), login and try another 'ls -a'. I do not run Jaunty anymore, but I *did* run it for about half an year (until Karmic development began); it happens that I am a heavy command- line user, and I did not notice this issue, ever. ** Changed in: coreutils (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- ls -la fails to print directory names https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/441142 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
