I have the same test results as Antonio and Pietro: speaker sound doesnt work, while headphone does.
Hum... I dont know much about how to aply patches, but the patched kernel sugested here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/389040/comments/117 works for me. This one made the speaker sound work, the headphones (including muting the sound when the phones are plugged), but i didnt test mic. As I said, I didnt know about patches, but if that one worked, i think it's best to include it upstream.
