@edm:I don't have any further ideas, unfortunately. However there are a lot of PulseAudio problems reported so you may be better off simply waiting a while. Most issues are around no sound at all and a lot appear to be associated with the learning curve of new PulseAudio sound controls. Let's hope the problems ease up shortly.
