Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 beta via a i386 Desktop CD. I ran ubiquity only (sans desktop). The GTK+ buttons used in ubiquity only accept clicks from the left mouse button and not the right. This prohibits left-handed users from being able to use the installer in a left-handed fashion. I propose that ubiquity's behavior be altered to match that of gdm's so that a user can use either the right or the left mouse button to click the buttons in ubiquity. Additionally, any right-click context menus that currently exist in ubiquity would need to be removed. (I know that at the very least the custom partitioning setup screen makes use of these). These changes would allow either right-handed or left-handed users to perform an installation without needing to prompt a user to find out how he or she is using the mouse. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- installation does not work for left-handed users https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442828 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
