Hi, just tried the Beta of Karmic and it looks like the problem has returned
I'm not getting a splash screen, desktop or consoles I went back and checked Alpha 6 which I tested for the upstream team and found that whilst I did get a desktop I didn't get a splash screen Happy to raise under a seperate defect, but as it seems related I thought I'd start here.
