I have a similar problem. There used to be a 'remember authorization' checkbox so I didn't have to always enter my password to change cpu frequency, but now it's gone.
It's been replaced by a 'Details' dropdown which says 'Action: org.gnome.cpufreqselector'. Clicking that doesn't open anything. What happens is a little icon appears and I can click it to drop all authorizations, but not to change them. Had to install gnome-policykit to get the authorizations program back... which doesn't have very much in it. org.gnome-cpufreqselector isn't in it. Also tried to look for it in gconf-editor. uname -r 2.6.31-11-generic Any other console outputs you need let me know. -- [Karmic Alpha 6] CPU Frequency scaling not working (p4-clockmod) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/433331 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
