Public bug reported: I have X-Fi card and 5.1 speakers system. Ubuntu 9.10 beta
Problem: Work only 4 speakers (no central speaker) in all applications. No 5.1 sound in movies. When I set 5.1 sound in vlc I hear voice from 2 front speakers, not central, in some videos no voice at all. Subwoofer is VERY weak (or not working)! (in gnome settings set to maximum) Sometimes sound is bad (quality), but must be very good (in windows quality of audio is very nice). If I change gnome audio settings (front-rear and left-right) I hear some noise.
