Under 9.04 I downloaded and burned a copy of Ubuntu 9.10 beta.
I then successfully installed the os.
Since then though, my CD/DVD drive does not recognise any cd's. If I put
a disk in the drive, it spins, then stops and ignores it. The eject
button doesn't work either.
Using the "disk utility", I can eject the disk, and it gives me the
following message: "733 MB (etc), Unrecognised, SMART is not available,
/dev/sr0"
