I followed "resume-trace" procedure and I think it didn't work for me -
I had no hash matches in dmesg and I didn't have to set the clock again
after the procedure.

I feel I have to describe the symptoms. When I suspend the laptop, it
looks just like it should - screen powers off, I hear the fan and HDD
spin down and power led starts to flash. When I try to resume it (either
with power button, or any other button), HDD and fan start to spin, but
the screen backlight is off, and the keyboard is unresponsive (Caps Lock
button have no effect on the corresponding light).

Once again, when I tried to accomplish the same "resume-trace" procedure
from the recovery root shell, the system resumed successfully. Now I
don't know what to do, since I do not use proprietary ATI drivers (have
fresh default karmic beta here). Any suggestions?
