Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

I was testing the ubuntu 9.10 beta live cd features however, when I
attempted to shut down with the indicator-applet-session menu, the
screen kept flickering back and forth between the 'purple loading
screen' and the desktop environment until I forced the shut down with
the power button.

I am testing this on my Toshiba Satellite laptop.
