Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Whenever I use the Synchronise Labels function having set up the Master Label, the resulting output produces a number of pages equal to the number of data records (150 in this case). Each box correctly has a <next record> field immediately after the last merge field. The first page labels are all the same, using the first data record information. The second page has the second record information in the top left box, but all the other boxes are filled with the first record information. This sequence progresses through all the pages with only the top left box having the next record. I have tried many ways of inserting the fields and every time I use the Synchronise Labels button, the same happens. If I create the Master Label and then copy and paste it to the other boxes without having previously enabled the synchronise labels function, everything works OK. I have tried the same thing with my Laptop (Ubuntu 8.10, OOo 2,4) and the same thing happens. I have carefully followed instructions from the documentation and also tutorials to create labels, and I am left concluding that there is a bug - but I find it difficult to imagine that I might be the first to find this.
