I have reverted a fully updated a6 to libbrasero/brasero 2.27.92 and have regained full and proper use of the cd/dvd drives. Additionally the previously broken gksu nautilus is now fully functional both from Alt+F2 and the terminal
The only caveat to use of gksu nautilus is the cd/dvd drive must not be in an 'open' state A screenshot is posted here showing a root nautilus, installed versions of brasero/libbrasero-media0, desktop icons and 2 drives correcting auto-mounting with notification http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8033337#post8033337 -- brasero 2.28.0-0ubuntu1 breaks DVD playback and disrupts CD/DVD operation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439846 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
