it doesn't work for me.
All of the version doesn't boot right. When I run the live cd the splash screen 
shows up as black and white. The progress bar on the bottom gets stuck and 
hangs up my computer.  I am not able to boot into Ubuntu using the live cds.

I am able to install the Ubuntu on my system. but after install it doesn't want 
to run. I was able to install using the text only mode. 
I Installed the 64 bit version of Ubuntu.(6.10)

My mother Board is a
Intel D945GCL
(for the intel core 2 duo processor)

Processor
Intel PD 805 2.66 GHZ / 2.66GHZ 
WD Caviar 80GB serial ATA HD 7200/8MB/S-ATA-150
(2)-- DDR 2 512 MB RAM PC2-4200-- 533mhz
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (PCI) 256MB DDR

The Hard Drive has two partitions NTFS for windows xp and rest of the
free space for Ubuntu.

I don't know how to do this.
