Fixed in Kubuntu 9.10 it seems :)
This fix can however not be deployed to 9.04 via an update. The usual
update process does not install, nor remove packages as part of an
update. Thus such an update-notifier-kde update would be on hold until
the user actually does a dist-upgrade. Therefore this change does not
qualify for a stable release update I am afraid.
