I can reproduce the failure that ubuntu-minimal gets removed. This happens for me if I do a server upgrade (ie no ububuntu-desktop or similar meta-package installed and no key dependency for that). It also only happens when universe is not enabled.
I added code to update-manager that ensures that this is handled now (still in the frozen queue). ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Triaged ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Milestone: None => ubuntu-9.10 ** Summary changed: - The update fails with an error for 9.04 to 9.10 Alpha 5 and Alpha 6 + The update fails with an error for 9.04 to 9.10 in server upgrade mode with no universe -- The update fails with an error for 9.04 to 9.10 in server upgrade mode with no universe https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/426367 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
