Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I am unable to play any sound when trying to use Pulseaudio. So far I tried these applications with following effects: - paplay: Stream error: No such entity - mplayer -v -ao pulse: Trying preferred audio driver 'pulse', options '[none]' AO: [pulse] Init failed: No such entity Failed to initialize audio driver 'pulse' Could not open/initialize audio device -> no sound. - Skype: Problem with Audio Playback (after launching the test call) - Totem: Failed to connect stream: No such entity - flashplugin: silently runs with no sound The only success I got while trying to play any sound was with paman itself, on "sample cache" page when playing sound samples. The paman program shows nothing suspicious, I can see proper server information and all sources and sinks on the right place.
