you are the first one to open a bug so no it has been an issue for lot of users, it's easy to workaround too, you can just install the required package and be done with it. Jaunty is stable, CD have been pressed the archive is frozen, the changes need to be done by stable updates now (ie they need to be done by somebody, tested by the qa team, get feedback from users to ensure there is nothing broken (a simple rebuild can break thing when toolchain bits changed)). The stable updates are only done usually for important issues, you didn't explain why you think that one is one. You should also see to respect the code of conduct if you want other people to consider what you are writting
