Public bug reported: Binary package hint: upstart
I am running Ubuntu servers as a VPS using OpenVZ The new upstart is not working in the ubuntu 9.10 VPS. It seems that Upstart is not calling telinit 2 or init 2 I can not figure out why, have been looking in the /etc/event /etc/init directories for a few days now. I filed a bunch of information on another bug report, but that bug report was labeled as a 'duplicate" which it is not and seems to be ignored. Old bug report : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/netbase/+bug/431065 My Ubuntu 9.10 template is up to date as of the filing of this report. guesses ?
