Thanks for pulling me up Carl, profuse apologies, I meant remove nspluginwrapper, NOT ndiswrapper. I have now tried the solution on Karmic alpha 6 and it runs fine. One thing I did note is that after removing nspluginwrapper and installing the native 64 bit flash player (download, unpack and place the libflashplayer.so file into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ folder) then I had to reboot. Firefox locked up prior to rebooting but after reboot works fine.
