Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Using the ati driver on an iBook G4 (M9+ 5C63 [Radeon Mobility 9200 (AGP)]), there are some weird pixel colors on the first start of X. After restarting X, those weird pixel colors are gone and all is fine and displayed correctly. The diff of the logs show that on the first start, the driver could not start drm: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ diff Xorg.0.log Xorg.1.log 14c14 < (==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Sat Feb 10 10:59:37 2007 --- > (==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Sat Feb 10 11:01:36 2007 422,424c422 < drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such device or address) < drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (No such device or address) < drmOpenDevice: Open failed --- > drmOpenDevice: open result is 7, (OK) ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- radeon in feisty: drm fails at first start, runs at restart X https://launchpad.net/bugs/84354 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
