Another oops. I see my first reply did not make it; finger troubles on my part I presume. I bought a new drive just to be sure and installed Alpha 6 on it and still had serious freeze problems. Today I downloaded the Sept. 22 daily build and installed it. I still have freezes but not quite as often and was able to get the attached Batchbuffer Dump as described in "Troubleshooting Freezes". The freeze was caused by opening Add To Panel and moving the thumb up and down a couple of times. Desktop effects is set to None, but that doesn't seem to be any different from Normal as far as freezes are concerned. Otherwise it is a standard fresh install.
