I have tried with around 30 different files, including some named abc.odt; I have made sure the other filenames do not contain anything other than 7-Bit ASCII characters.
The mime type listed in the properties dialog is application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text; the tab "open with" shows "Archive Manager", "Archive Mounter" and "OpenOffice.org Word Processor", with OpenOffice being selected. Meanwhile, I guess it could be a problem with OpenOffice since it now fails to open documents from GVFS mounts even from the file open dialog. It opens a blank document "Untitled 1" instead. I think I remeber that worked some time ago, but I am not sure. Anyway, I tried using 3 different computers here at work. 2 had this symptom, one did not. The one which worked had a local home directory, the other 2 have their /home mounted via NFSv4. Idmapd is running and working, at least ownership and permissions on the home directories are OK. Any help to get closer to the problem is appreciated. -- ODT files on gvfs mounts open with file roller https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/433944 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
