I'm seeing a related error :

~# dmesg | grep iwlagn
[ 15.531973] iwlagn: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link AGN driver for Linux,
2.3.5kds
[ 15.532087] iwlagn: Copyright(c) 2003-2008 Intel Corporation

[ 26.423115] iwlagn: Nic access not held from iwl5000_nic_config line 246

The module does load :
~# lsmod | grep iwlagn
iwlagn 148100 0
iwlcore 162500 1 iwlagn

iwlwifi5k_cfg80211 33504 3 iwlagn,iwlcore,iwlwif5k_mac80211

Though I am only able to use channels 1 to 11. Not 12 and 13 which is a
problem for me as I am in Europe.

I'm running on :

Description: Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS

:~# uname -a
