Public bug reported:

Adding the option 'text' to the livecd bootup options does not prevent X
from starting. Previous releases (ex Jaunty) used to drop you into the
login window.

I require this to diagnose a problem with X that causes my computer to
freeze on boot

I have tested this on two different physical machines and with
VirtualBox. I downloaded the latest alpha, removed the 'quiet splash'
options from the kernel boot options and replaced them with 'text' and
pushed enter.

Sorry if this is the wrong package. I couldn't really figure out what
package this should belong to.
