Public bug reported: I'm running an updated Ubuntu Karmic Alpha 6 on a Dell XPS M1330. As far as I could tell, installation went smoothly. But I have no wifi.
My card is a Broadcom 4312. Jockey has not popped-up as it normally would to tell me that freedom-hating drivers are available. If I run jockey manually, it shows nothing. dmesg suggests that the kernel has detected the card (I think...?) but ... I'm not sure what's going wrong, nor which package this falls under. One more thing: the "wifi" light on my keyboard is ~not~ on. ...(the toggle turning wifi on and off, is in the "on" position.) ** Affects: jockey (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- M1330: Broadcom wlan detected but no jockey...? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432242 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
