I believe you are right Sp!J3T. I was experiencing this bug on my eeepc901. I am using jaunty, and I had upgraded to the kernel 2.6.30.4(http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline) and also pulseaudio(1:0.9.17-0ubuntu1). This caused ALSA to stop working.. So I think there's some conflict between the snd-hda-intel module and the newer pulseaudio.
By the way, I solved this by downgrading to jauntys pulseaudio. -- No sound after karmic upgrade & hda-intel warnings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/421250 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
