This may be related: When I boot into a the newly-installed 2.6.15-26-686 kernel on my T60, the system hangs for 1 min 30 seconds at "Mounting root filesystem..." and then finishes booting normally. Booting into the older 2.6.15-25-386 kernel (note the different arch.) does not show this behavior on the same machine.
