Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
My max pool is 4096, with an average of 3600. When I start any part of OO (writer, calc, presentation) my entropy drops from ~3600 to ~250 Ways to reproduce: Just start OO and monitor your entropy pool. Do this by adding ${entropy_avail} to your .conkyrc or use "cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/cat entropy_avail" ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: openoffice.org-core 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: openoffice.org Uname: Linux 2.6.28-15-generic i686 ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- OO depletes /dev/random on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/430971 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
