I am running kubuntu jaunty 9.04 on a dell inspiron 6000 laptop. I updated the
kernel to 2.6.28-15-generic. Since then, audio is lost. When I go to system
settings->multimedia, audio output shows:
Intel ICH6 with STAC9752,53 (Intel ICH6)
Intel ICH6 with STAC9752,53 (Intel ICH6 - IEC958)
PulseAudio
The STAC( Sigma Tel) are in grey and PulseAudio is active
Before kernel update, Intel ICH6 STAC... were active, they were in fact the
ones used by the system.
