Public bug reported: I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty on a HP pavilion dv7. I have a Huawei E169 usb modem. Having read all the forums and info sites for linux, it seems that ubuntu's network manager can run this modem. You should just be able to plug it in. My network manager has recognised the modem and asked me to configure it. It even says it has established a connection, but i'm unable to surf on the net or download emails. I've removed the pin and added a username and password, which isn't usually required, in an attempt to make it work, but to no avail. Does anyone know what i can do to check/diagnose my system to see why i'm unable to make this modem work? I'm new to Linux, but really enjoying it and determined to have an open source solution. Thanks.
