Thank you for reporting this bug, and for helping to make Ubuntu better. However, there are some strange details in your bug report. Your bug says that you are using the Ubuntu 9.04 release (codename Jaunty Jackalope), but the kernel version you are using - 2.6.24-16-generic - is from Ubuntu 8.04.
Since the nouveau-kernel-source package builds a kernel module for nvidia graphics hardware, it is sensitive to changes in the kernel. The 9.04 nouveau-kernel-source package would not be expected to build against the 8.04 kernel. How did you come to be using the 8.04 kernel on a 9.04 system? If you have deliberately selected the older kernel, then this bug is invalid, as that is an unsupported configuration. If you have not deliberately selected the older kernel, this may be due to a different bug which could be fixed. -- package nouveau-kernel-source 0.0.11+git20090404-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391467 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
