Alright so it looks like you are right I am having trouble with my CD drive which is just weird. But the bug seems to be in both 9.04 and 9.10 where my CD drive doesn't work. But once I tried creating a live USB it installed right away. I am talking about 9.04. But to be nice I also tried installing 9.10 alpha 5 to give it a test and this I had some problems with. The first time I tried to install it I told it to import my specs from my other partition (windows XP) and it froze when it got to like 88% done. The next time I told it not to worry about loading my specs from XP to just install it clean. Then it said that it completed the install and when I went to load into 9.10 it gave me a grub error 15 and wouldn't do anything. So now that I have ubuntu installed I can't use my CD drive, where should I go for that problem?
