(pitti)

** Changed in: gdm (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Triaged

** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: gdm
-
- Brand new install of karmic from todays daily live image. I chose UK
- keyboard during the installer, and then during gdm I also selected UK
- (USA was defaulting) but it's still not using that keyboard layout.
-
- If I go to System -> Preferences -> keyboard -> Layout, USA is the only
- option, yet GDM offers UK as a possible option, but GNOME doesn't use
- it.
-
- ProblemType: Bug
- Architecture: i386
- Date: Sat Aug 29 19:50:33 2009
- DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10
- Package: gdm 2.27.90-0ubuntu1
- ProcEnviron:
- LANG=en_GB.UTF-8
- SHELL=/bin/bash
- ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-8.28-generic
- SourcePackage: gdm
- Uname: Linux 2.6.31-8-generic i686
+ gdm now displays and sets keyboard layouts properly, but does not
+ read/display/export variants such as "nodeadkeys" or "dvorak".
