How about storing them in
${FIREFOX_DOWNLOAD_DIR}/${USERNAME}AutomaticDownloads by default?  (e.g:
/home/sean/Downloads/seanAutomaticDownloads)
Also, let the user specify where the AutoDownloads directory should go ...
maybe some people want to set it as /tmp.  (e.g.
/tmp/seanAutomaticDownloads)

"Clear private data ...", (and elsewhere?) should also let people purge the
contents of that directory (probably with some sort of warning first).
