Just upgraded to 2.6.28-15 on my HP dv5 and lost sound on speakers, headphones work but with diminished amplification. Doesn't matter if I use alsa, pulse, oss. Boot in with 2.6.27-11 sound is fine. Haven't tried other variants between the two so can't say when they lost it. Suggest staying with 2.27-11 until next kernel fix. Don't know what you would like to help resolve problem. If you need info please let me know what is required.
