Public bug reported:

Hi folks

Late in the karmic cycle, we introduced a new spin called Ubuntu Moblin
Remix. It's Moblin 2 and GNOME based mostly and is made of a bunch of
new packages but also carries various types of patches to some Ubuntu
packages or some complete temporary forks such as evolution-data-server-
dbus. This effort was started in the jaunty cycle in various PPAs, and
was moved to a karmic PPA in the karmic cycle; we're currently building
cdimage daily live ISOs from the ~moblin PPA and karmic. This sucks for
various reasons and we'd like to move as much stuff as possible into
karmic.

This bug is a request to allow the new packages in the moblin remix spin into
Ubuntu karmic, in universe. A list of packages is documented in:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Specs/MobileKarmicMoblinRemix#Implementation
(some packages have been pushed to Debian some time ago, but we can't block on
Debian's NEW for karmic)

We would also like to merge as many changes done to Ubuntu packages into
karmic proper, but this is more disruptive as e.g. some patches touch
the UI etc, so we will track this separately. We will probably merge
clear fixes directly, and try to get the other changes via upstream into
Ubuntu when these are in a GNOME module for instance. We wont push any
intrusive or UI changes from the UMR patches into karmic and will ask
for separate FFEs where appropriate, unless you wish to allow for a
standing FFE to ease the review burden. As this touches both main and
universe, I think it makes more sense to see this on a case by case
basis.

Thanks,
