I just thought I would post an update on this issue. On 9.04 64bit I have determined that the wired connection works randomly. If I start up the computer many times the connection is not enabled and attempting to enable it will not work. However, if I logout multiple times, just logout over and over, until the connection is enabled on startup of the desktop then it works. I usually have to logout say 5-10 times to get it enabled.
2.6.28-11-generic Last time I upgraded the kernel on 64bit it stopped working altogether, at least from what I could tell. If anyone else can duplicate what I am describing on 64bit and with a newer kernel then let me know as I will upgrade to that. I hope once a newer kernel is released and the bug is actually fixed that someone will update this ticket. -- Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 191 Gigabit Ethernet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345374 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
