I get this same message on MSI 945GM3 motherboard. [drm:intelfb_restore] *ERROR* Failed to restore crtc configuration: -22
lspci gives: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) I have a Samsung Syncmaster 700b CRT attached. CPU is Intel Pentium D 920. I was trying to boot the Kubuntu karmic AMD64 desktop CD Alpha 4. I can login text mode if you need log files.
