Public bug reported: I am trying to setup an NFS server on a computer running Jaunty x86. I need to get the mountd service through the firewall but I cannot set the port. In the file /etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server, I see that rpc.mountd is called with the options in $RPCMOUNTDOPTS However, putting "-p 32767", the options needed to set mountd to the port I want, in RPCMOUNTDOPTS at the top of the file has no effect on the port mountd runs on. Running rpcinfo -p reveals it to be on a random port. I can still set it by running rpc.mountd -p 32767, but why can I not set it in the init script? What am I doing wrong?
